Jono Schneider A perfect record, one of the few you can hear on repeat for hours and never tire of. Super heavy, full of riffs, magic, weirdness, repetition, and madness. Hot Grave is one of my very favorite songs, like AC/DC gone to the moon. There’s so much bottom to everything here. I love this so much.

Levrikon The absolute peak of Hey Colossus' mid period work. Everything from Happy Birthday to RRR has been leading up to this, and the blend of kosmische, dub, psych, and doom makes for one of the absolute best albums of the 2000s. Cuckoo is mystifyingly original and fantastic from beginning to end, and is an album everyone should listen to at least once. Masterpiece! Favorite track: How To Tell Time With Jesus.

Cuckoo Live Life Like Cuckoo was recorded live to tape throughout 2012 in Dropout Studios, South London, by Mr. Westminster Brown, mastered by James Plotkin. For this recording, Hey Colossus opt for a hefty hi-fi sound when previously they were drenched in Lo-fi fuzz. Now there is room to breathe when before they were utterly unrelenting. Tape loops and walls of noise created by bass and drum rhythmic klang, dual vocals, and three guitars are supplemented by a variety of instruments including the bağlama saz, turntables and synths - adding a whole new dynamic to their sound. These are signs of a band who are playing with their ears open and it's all systems go.
